You have shown the world how lucky the Gators are to call you one of our own! I constantly run into friends who went to other SEC schools or Big Ten schools, and they have nothing but compliments to say when it comes to you. You are a role model, on and off the field. You are truly an inspiring individual and I hope that one day, my children will follow in your footsteps of goodwill.

Thank you for one small gesture that has made such a difference in my life. My daughter, her friend and I met you outside of Outback after the 2006 National Championship celebration at the Swamp. You were so kind, patient and giving with your autograph, posing for pictures and the attention that you gave to your fans. You even let me bother you after your meal for just one more picture of just you and my daughter (since the earlier pics were taken with her friend, and my daughter is the “real” Gator fan!). We will always treasure those pictures, they have brought us a lot of joy and fun conversations about the day that we met you. Thank you for being a great representative of The Gator Nation, for being a kind individual, and of course, everything you have done on and off of the football field. May your time after UF bring you all the joy that you desire. If that means the NFL, we’ll be buying Tebow jerseys!

Your work ethic has inspired both young and old alike. Beyond that, you showed us it’s not enough to work hard for yourself, but to work hard for others.

It’s become “cool” recently for others to backlash against you because of all the media coverage. You’ve done a great job ignoring these folks. Keep it up, as misery often loves company.

Thanks for taking advantage of the limelight you have. As I have heard you say before, so many athletes and popular figures don’t take advantage of it, but you have. You have encouraged so many people to hold themselves to higher standards. Individuals that have no interest in football know your name and the impact in which you have and still are making. You have been to places (prisons and third-world countries) that others shun to the side. Its a blessing that you know this prestige is a vehicle rather than the apex. Keep following God’s purpose for your life.
