You truly are one of the best athletes ever imaginable. I say this for many reasons. Yes, your athletic ability is great, and yes, you have made a name for yourself as one of the most remarkable players to play on such an honorable team. But the things, combined with these, that make you even an incredible person are things like loyalty, honor, and faith in your coach, your team, and God. I think it was great to have a player, such as yourself, not be afraid to show his faith. It made many people have respect for you, as well as show you respect on and off the field. Praising God even in the most undesirable situations I believe has helped your faith grow. I’ve been here all four years with you, and I couldn’t have asked for a better quarterback to lead us through those years. Your heart, passion, and commitment to our Florida Gators has made these four seasons worth watching more than ever before. Even with the loss at the SEC championship, nobody doubts your ability to lead, and to play with your heart. I think you actually made us believe in you more. I think I can speak for the whole Gator Nation when I say that we love that you’re a real person, and you don’t put on a show for the cameras. I was watching the championship with my mom and dad, and when the tears started flowing after that game against Alabama, it almost made me cry watching you. My mom says “Wow. He’s such a nice young man.” You’ve got our support, with whatever you decide to do in life, and you’ll always be a Gator.

I’m an ex UF Faculty member and Gator grad (x2). Thank you so much for generously giving your heart and soul to UF and the Gator Nation. The past 4 years have been tremendously exciting for us, all over the world (I live in the West Indies). We will avidly follow your progress in the NFL.
As a college athlete you have certainly accomplished much, but you have also inspired many of us just by being a caring, curteous, and focused person. Thank you for being such a great ambassador for UF, thank you for showing your passion and emotions, and thank you for being such a positive role model for young persons.

You made my first two years at UF unforgettable! I wasn’t much of a football fan until I saw you play with the Gators. I’ve never seen anyone play with so much passion and heart. When I went to UF in 84-88, we were so excited just to have won our first SEC championship – even though we weren’t eligible for a bowl game because of NCAA probation. A lot of people thought that team – led by my friend Kerwin Bell and coached by Galen Hall – was the best squad ever assembled by the Gators.

Next came the Danny Wuerrfel /Steve Spurrier era – I was so proud to be a Gator during that time and never thought we would have a better team than that one.

But you have made me even prouder – you have shown what it means to not only be a great athlete, and even a great leader – but you have HEART – and that is rare in so many athletes these days.

Thank you for your dedication and hard work and for giving us all something to be proud of. Best of luck in the draft – we will be rooting for you wherever you go! (As long as it’s not the JETS!)

I cannot believe this season is ending, both the football season itself and this season of life. I graduated from high school and community college early hoping to land myself at the University of Florida during the Tim Tebow years, and I can’t believe that season is now over (except, of course, the Sugar Bowl). I’ve been a Gator at heart all my life, but I’d never gotten to go to a game and experience the fullness of being a Gator before I came to UF this year. This was my first true Gator season, and it’ll be special to me both as my first and as your last, full of heart and spirit and memories.

Thank you for being man enough and humbled enough to cry when you left the Swamp and when we lost to Alabama, because I cried too and I couldn’t have dealt with it the same way if you hadn’t cried too.

Thank you for being a great example of what we homeschoolers can really do. I’m a fellow homeschool kid, and let’s face it, we all get those funny looks when we say the word “homeschooled.” But by being an example, you made it easier, because now all I have to say is, “Tim Tebow was homeschooled,” and it quiets the critics.

But most of all, thank you for keeping true to yourself, your faith and our God. Thank you most of all for your integrity. These days it’s so rare to hear about a good college player, and thank you for having enough integrity to stay true in a hard position. Thanks for standing up to be a leader for integrity.
