When all is said and done, it will have only been 4 great years of football at UF. But the lives you’ve change by being a positive role model will continue to be affected forever. It’s great to be a Florida Gator.

Your picture is my screensaver at work though my boss is a devout FSU fan. I have alway been and Auburn Tigers fan, however I watched your ESPN documentary “The Chosen One” and have followed most of your college career. What I am most grateful to tell you is that I am now the youth leader at my church, not necessarily from anything you said but in reading about you it gave me ideas and made me realize that the youth might be a great fit for what I feel I am missing from my life. I feel if I had not read and watched some of the video of you I would not have pursued my calling as a youth leader. This was my first year at the University of Florida and my first year as a true Gator fan. I have watched some games in years past but never truly felt a connection until this past year. Thank You so much for being such a great role model. When people think of UF they will think of you and the hope and happiness you have brought into this world. I am a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan too. So when you are in the draft, please avoid signing with the Lions, Bears, or Vikings! Because of your open belief in God, others of us can feel comfortable and safe with our belief too.

I just want to thank you for the example that you’ve set for others. You’ve made it cool to be an outspoken Christian athlete, so that people don’t have to feel embarrassed about doing it. I’ve been a Tennessee fan for a several years but changed allegiances while you were at Florida. Next season I’ll go back to being a Gator Hater. I just couldn’t make myself root against you for all you stand for. I also had to watch every game and figure out your Bible verse for the game. Lastly, I know that you probably would like to play at home for the Jags in the NFL, but as a big Colts fan, could you please go to some team outside of the AFC South! Just kidding. Thanks so much for giving all you had into the Florida football program for 4 great years. You have really been a positive influence on my life, and thousands of others. I feel like simply being a fan of you has made me a better person, and if I can turn that around and help others it will make the world a better place.
