I have been a Gator fan since stepping foot on this campus as a freshman in 1993. I have seen a lot of players come and go. I have NEVER seen a player connect with Gator fans the way you do. Danny Wuerffel came close. We love you both, not because you are great football players (well, a little), but because of your geniune spirit that makes people happy just to see you on TV, just to hear you speak, just to see you smile. When you were hurt in this year’s game against Kentucky, people in the stands looked so distraught and concerned. And I don’t think it was because their star quarterback might be injured, and they were concerned about the rest of the season, but because someone they care about as a person might be hurt. I hope you are able to maintain that connection with people throughout your life. It is a gift, and I admire that you use your “fame” as a way to reach people on a positive level. Thank you for being a good role model for my son on so many levels. Stay humble, stay classy, and good things will continue to happen in your life. God Bless!

The list goes on and on, but what is most important is how much of a humanitarian you are. I just want to wish you all the best. Went to a game when you came in to replace Leak. Became a Tebow fan that day just for your skill. Started to pay attention to the good things you do for others. Loved what I heard. I don’t ever hold athletes or actors up for my children to idolize. My children did start to admire how you handle yourself by helping others and also just being kind to others. In this hurried world, you were a great reminder as to how we are supposed treat one another.
